Hi Mama, I’m so glad you’re here

Becoming a mom is one of life’s most beautiful journeys. It’s exciting, tender, and sometimes a little overwhelming and you don’t have to do it alone! I’m truly honored to walk alongside you through it.

My role as your doula, isn’t just about giving facts or techniques. It’s about being fully present for you emotionally, physically, spiritually and providing informed care. I’m not here to promise you a painless birth, or solely rely on tools, and affirmations, though they can have their place, that is not my focus. What matters most to me is being your friend or like a sister who brings a calm presence, comforting hand, and quietly remind you of your God-given strength while you bring your baby into the world.

I am also here for dads, offering guidance, reassurance, and practical support so they can feel confident, calm, and fully present in their own role.

Birth is more than a physical event. It’s a holy transformative experience. While society often teaches women to look for ways to escape it, I believe in embracing your power and trusting your body. You were created to birth your baby and your body knows exactly what to do. My heart is to help you feel grounded, confident, and fully supported through every wave of labor.

Why Doula Support Matters?

Doula support matters because it adds continuous, non-medical emotional, physical, and informational care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

My role as a doula isn’t to replace doctors or midwives, but to focus on you, your comfort, confidence, and experience.

Here are the main reasons it makes a difference:

  1. Better birth outcomes

Research has consistently found that continues support during labor is associated with:

    • Lower rate of cesarean sections

    • Reduced use of pain medication or epidurals

    • Shorter labors

    • Higher overall birth satisfaction

This is largely because steady support can reduce stress and help the body labor more effectively.

  2. Emotional grounding during a high-stress event

Labor can be unpredictable and intense. A doula provides calm, continuous reassurance, helping reduce fear and anxiety.

  3. Advocacy and communication support

Beyond physical care, doulas help you feel informed and empowered. Doulas support clear communication with your care team and help you navigate choices aligned with your birth preferences, without replacing your voice or medical providers.

  4. Physical comfort techniques such as:

    • Position changes

    • Breathing strategies

    • Massage or counter-pressure

    • Relaxation technique

These can help manage pain and make labor more manageable without or alongside medication.

  5. Support for partners too

Partners often want to help but may feel unsure or overwhelmed. A doula can guide them, reducing pressure and helping them participate more confidently

What it looks like to work together:

  • During pregnancy, I’m here to provide education, answer questions, and ease any fears you may have. Together, we’ll build a relationship, discuss your hopes and concerns, and create a birth plan that reflects your desires.

    I include 2 prenatal appointments and 24/7 text/call support.

  • During labor, I provide continuous emotional and physical support. This can look like hands-on comfort measures, helping you navigate decisions, creating a calm environment.

I go on call beginning 37 weeks and have back-ups in place if needed. I provide support during active labor, delivery, and up to 2 hours postpartum.

  • Your partner is an essential part of your journey, and I’m here to guide and support them too. Whether they need tips on how to assist you during labor or reassurance in the moment, I’ll help them feel confident in their role as your teammate and advocate.

  • The journey doesn’t end after birth. I’ll continue to support you and your family as you transition into this new season of life. Whether it’s answering questions, providing emotional encouragement, or simply being a resource as you navigate motherhood, I’m here to help you feel confident and cared for in those early days.

    I include one postpartum/debrief visit.

FAQs

What is a doula?

1

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotion, physical and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Doulas do not provide medical care but work alongside your birth provider to help you feel supported and informed.

Do you replace my doctor or midwife?

2

No. I work alongside your medical team. Doctors and midwives provide medical care and monitor your health and your baby’s health. A doula does not perform medical tasks, instead focuses on your comfort, emotional well-being, and advocacy throughout your experience.

When should I hire a doula?

3

Most families reach out during the second or early third trimester, but I recommend connecting as early as you feel ready so we have time to build a relationship and prepare for your birth together. Please know it’s never too early or too late if availability allows.

Do you support all types of birth?

4

Yes. I support all types of birth experiences, including unmedicated births, epidurals, inductions, VBACs, scheduled or unplanned cesareans, and hospital, birth center, or home births in The Woodlands and Conroe, TX.
